Sony
Go!View is the new portable video on demand service from Sony. For
a small fee PSP users can transfer video content from their PC to
their PSP. The content is purchased in packs, which is not surprising
really as this service is in association with Sky. At present there
is an entertainment pack, a sports pack and a comedy pack. Movies
and other TV content can be downloaded using a rental agreement.
For a limited time new PSP users that register at
www.goview.tv
can get a free month's subscription to all three packs. Note: You
will need a memory stick.
Sony are selling two different Go!View bundles. The first one is
a PSP bundle that includes a Black PSP 3000, a 2GB memory stick,
a mini USB cable and a two month Go!View voucher that covers all
3 packs. The other bundle is aimed at existing PSP owners. For £29.99
the bundle contains a 4GB memory stick, a mini USB cable and two
month, 3 pack subscription.
After the free subscriptions run out, PSP users can buy a single
pack for one month at £5, a double pack for £8 and all
three packs for £10.
