How to setup Remote play on your PSP
This is a fairly simple process that requires a bit of work on both the PS3
and the PSP.
- Firstly on the PS3 go to the <Remote Play Settings> under
the <settings> tab
- Once in the <Remote Play Settings> choose register device
- Once you click Register Device a message will come up on the
screen telling you what to do with the PSP. Do not click OK just
yet
- Instead take your PSP and connect it to the PS3 via a USB cable
- Once you are plugged in, under the <Settings> Tab, select
<USB Connection> on your PSP. When you have entered USB
connection go back to the PS3 and press OK
- When you press OK on the PS3 it will register on both the PS3
and the PSP
- The next step on both consoles is to go into <Remote Play>
located under the <Network> Tab (on both consoles)
- It is best to click on remote play on the PS3 first as this
is the last step for the PS3 and you will not need to touch the
PS3 again. On the other hand when you enter it on the PSP it will
ask you if you want to connect via the Internet or via a Private
connection.
- Choose Private Connection as this is what we have just setup
- You will then be asked to select a connection. Choose Playstation(R)3
- Click this connection and you're done. You will now be able
to use Remote play on your PSP

How to setup a Wireless Network on your PSP
If you have a PSP and it's not connected to the Internet, you're
missing out on something. An Internet connected PSP can be used
to download game demos, watch videos, listen to radio and play online
against other PSP owners. Here's how to connect your PSP to the
Internet.
- First, make sure the Wi-Fi switch is set to on. This slider
button is located on the bottom left hand side of the PSP
- Next, go to <network settings> under the <settings>
tab
- Once you have clicked this you will have the choice of AD Hoc
mode or Infrastructure mode. As we are setting up a wireless internet
connection you will need to choose the Infrastructure mode
- The next screen will list all previous connections you may have
created or you can create a new connection. Note: you can only
have 10 connections saved at one time
- As we are making a new connection you should click <new connection>
- The next step is to choose whether you would like to scan for
WLAN settings or enter them manually. Choose Scan
- The PSP will then search for available wireless networks. Choose
your own wireless network
- After you have chosen, scroll through until you have to enter
security settings. Here you will need to enter your wireless security
key
- When you have entered your key it will take you to the final
screen where you can save the settings
- Now you should be able to connect to the internet and access
the PlayStation store, the world wide web and Internet radio stations
